Dr. Klaus-D. Kohrt, Industry Marketing, Nokia Siemens Networks, based in Munich, Germany.

After completing a Masters degree and a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science Dr. Kohrt joined Siemens Public Communication Networks division in October 1984. He has worked in the switching application software environment in various roles in development, system design, systems engineering and development project management for the EWSD switch and next generation ATM-based systems. In December 1996, Dr. Kohrt took over responsibility for Strategic Product Planning of Siemens Public Networks Group and in March 1999 joined the cellular networks division as Vice President for UMTS strategy and promotion.

After several years of responsibility for product portfolio strategy for mobile network infrastructure, he took up Government and Industry Relations management in late 2003. In this role he serves on a number of committees and international organisations.
