Alan Hadden, President, GSA
Alan Hadden is President of GSA. He has 18 years' experience in senior positions in the manufacturing, regulatory, operator and consultative sectors of the mobile communications industry. As Industrial Advisor to the Department of Trade and Industry in 1988-1990, one of his key activities was to co-ordinate and represent UK industry views influencing telecommunications regulation and standardisation at national and international level. While working for One-2-One (now T-Mobile), he secured ETSI standardisation of the GSM 1800 standard. He represented the company at the GSM Association, chairing various groups including the European operators group. He was Vice Chairman of the UMTS Forum 1996-1997, and its Program Manager until 2001.
An independent consultant since 1997, and a firm believer in the benefits of GSM, Alan accepted the challenge of being GSA's first President in 1998.

Anthony D'Arcy, Vice President, GSA
Anthony D'Arcy is Director of Marketing Communications, Nokia Networks, Nokia.
Anthony currently oversees the global marketing communications functions for Nokia Networks based out of Espoo, Finland. The functions cover marketing communications for all Nokia Network solutions both mobile and fixed, including Core and Radio Access, Fixed Broadband, Service enablers as well as Operations solutions and Operator Services. The Marketing Communications function also includes Industry Marketing activities such as the GSA.
In the 2 and a half years prior to taking up his current position, Tony headed the marketing communications and services functions of Nokia Broadband Systems based in California. He has also worked previously for Nokia in similar communications and marketing functions within the fixed access, fixed switching and customer documentation businesses.
Tony holds a degree in modern languages and lingustics and is a member of various marketing organizations. Tony believes the GSA provides an opportunity to bring together the main GSM providers to celebrate and drive the adoption of the GSM family of network technologies which will continue to enrich the lives of people everywhere.

Torsten Hunte, Vice President, GSA
Based in Stockholm, Torsten is Director Business Development where he works with business strategies for GSM, GPRS, EDGE & WCDMA within Ericssons Business Unit. His organization is focusing on development of existing and new business opportunities.
Most recently Torsten was Director for Ericsson's EDGE Program within Ericsson's Product Management, responsible for EDGE on a global basis.
Torsten joined Ericsson in 1997 where he started to work within Research and Development of Ericsson's Mobile Systems division and later on joined the Product Management department.
He holds a Master degree in Telecommunication from the University of applied Science in Bremen.

Klaus Kohrt, Vice President, GSA
Dr. Klaus-D. Kohrt is Vice President, Government and Industry Relations, Siemens Communications, based in Munich, Germany.
After completing a Masters degree and a PhD in Mathematics and Computer
Science Dr. Kohrt joined Siemens Public Communication Networks division in
October 1984. He has worked in the switching application software
environment in various roles in development, system design, systems
engineering and development project management for the EWSD switch and next
generation ATM-based systems. In December 1996, Dr. Kohrt took over
responsibility for Strategic Product Planning of Siemens\x{2018} Public Networks
Group and in March 1999 joined the cellular networks division as Vice
President for UMTS strategy and promotion.
After several years of responsibility for product portfolio strategy for
mobile network infrastructure, he took up Government and Industry Relations
management in late 2003. In this role he serves on a number of committees
and international organisations.
