APT700

Adoption of the APT700 MHz band plan by a growing number of countries across the APAC and Latin America regions confirms the strong momentum and represents a major opportunity for global spectrum harmonization for LTE systems, paving the way for ensuring the greatest economies of scale for devices and capacity for mobile broadband services, and for roaming.

APT700 MHz band plan (698-806 MHz)

FDD band plan 3GPP Band 28 (2 x 45 MHz and 10 MHz guardband) 703-748 MHz for the uplink, 10 MHz guard band, 758-803 MHz for the downlink

TDD band plan 3GPP Band 44 703-803 MHz

The FDD plan configuration (Band 28) has attracted the most support. GSA is not aware of any country or regulator anywhere in the world adopting or recommending allocation of spectrum according to Band 44 (the TDD band plan configuration).

In this Zone you will find information papers, presentations and other resources which explain the opportunities enabled by deploying LTE systems using the APT700 band, and confirm the industry commitment to the APT700 band plan by policy-makers, network operators, and leading manufacturers.

Since the standardization of the APT700 MHz band plan as Band 28 by 3GPP, chipset and infrastructure vendors and operators worldwide have progressively indicated their commitment or interest in the band. It is hoped that by sharing this new information and latest facts, semiconductor and terminals manufacturers will be further encouraged to include support for the APT700 band in their product roadmaps, and thus ensure the earliest availability and choice of user devices to support this key band and consequently large economies of scale.
