First GSA Mobile Broadband Forum Held in Hong Kong
GSA – the Global mobile Suppliers Association, organized and launched its first Mobile Broadband Forum on December 3rd, 2007, in Hong Kong SAR, China. The GSA Mobile Broadband Forum is a program for mobile network operators and GSA member organisations, focusing on mobile broadband success stories, business models, services, applications, technologies, growing traffic and ARPU, how to prepare the market and market experiences.
This first event, which was held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside the Mobility World Congress, included operator participation and experiences from Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden and UK. Presentations were also given by a senior representative of 3GPP/ETSI, and GSA member organisations Comsys, Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks, Qualcomm, Talking Eye, and Telcordia.
The GSA Mobile Broadband Forum in Hong Kong achieved its aims of dialogue, enhanced information exchange and knowledge sharing. Further events are planned for different regions of the world during 2008.
