Free seminar: Mobile Broadband - Where the Next Steps Take Us (September 6th, 2010 - Hong Kong)

The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), are jointly organizing and hosting a seminar: Mobile Broadband – Where The Next Steps Take Us.

This is a free to attend seminar to be held in Hong Kong on Monday September 6th, 2010. The seminar is also supported by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA).

Mobile broadband is the fastest growing market segment and mass market, as demonstrated by over 350 commercial networks serving more than half a billion users worldwide. 3G/HSPA systems are the main enabler and HSPA Evolution (HSPA+) is market reality, allowing network operators to deliver the huge volumes of data, higher broadband speeds and low latency that customers are demanding for a better experience. The first LTE systems have launched and are performing well, and represent the path forward for most mobile and broadband wireless operators to ensure a step up in the user experience of mobile broadband. The coming months will see rapid rollout of both FDD LTE and TD-LTE networks creating new markets and business opportunities.

The objectives of the seminar are to foster new learning and business development opportunities, and enable the sharing of visions of technology and business solutions for delivering mobile broadband services to international and China markets. The panel of distinguished industry speakers will report on latest industry developments and activities. Sharing insights and experiences will strengthen the dialog and encourage better understanding of the trends, opportunities and challenges.

Participants to the seminar are invited from across the mobile broadband value chain and eco-system, including mobile network operators, infrastructure, solutions and systems suppliers, device and component manufacturers, the content and technology developers community, universities and academic groups.
