GSA is delighted to congratulate Dr. Mike Short who has been recognized in the Queen's Birthday Honours list and awarded a CBE. This top award is in recognition of Mike’s enthusiasm, reputation, leadership and devoted work in mobile communications spanning almost 25 years, and is one which he richly deserves. Many of his colleagues know the pioneering role and huge contribution that Mike has made in the development of technologies and standards for the mobile telecoms industry. We are confident he will continue to make important contributions through his leadership roles in his company and key industry committees and associations.
Mike Short CBE FREng BA becomes a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), and is a Vice President at Telefónica Europe plc.
