SPEAKERS
Dr Werner Wiedermann, Business Development, Research and Development, mobilkom austria AG
Werner Wiedermann, is part of the Business Development team and in charge of Technology and Innovation Management including co-ordination of research programs within mobilkom austria.
Born in Austria, Werner completed his studies of electrical and communications engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, receiving his doctorate in 1985 - at which time he was also active in international research.
Werner has long experience in the field of mobile communication. He started his career in 1986 as an engineer for radio and transmission networks. On the foundation of mobilkom austria in 1996, he took over the management of the area of network planning. Later on he was responsible for systems engineering and mobile service development. Since 2002 he is in charge of mobilkom austria’s research activities.
He is also a lecturer in telecommunication at University of Applied Science in Vienna (Technikum Wien) and Mobile Computing (Hagenberg). Furthermore, he represents mobilkom austria at various national and international committees. Furthermore he is deputy chair of the UMTS Forum’s Operator Group.

Dr Robert Schumann, Analysys Mason
Robert specialises in quantitative and qualitative modelling of telecoms networks for Analysys Mason, the world's premier adviser in telecoms, IT and media. Earlier this year he performed a study to forecast coverage of fixed and mobile broadband in several European countries over the next five years, and he is currently leading a project to identify options for the deployment of next-generation broadband in Ireland. In addition to being involved in the valuation of spectrum and mobile operators across the world, Robert has worked closely with operators in the development of cost models of fixed and mobile networks. This variety of projects has given him a wide knowledge of the economic and regulatory factors influencing fibre deployment and spectrum release for broadband.

Chris Barraclough, MD & co-founder STL Partners / Telco 2.0™
Chris has a background in strategy consulting and has worked for Gemini Consulting and Oxford Strategic Marketing, as well as an equity analyst at JP Morgan. He co-founded the Telco 2.0 initiative in 2006 as part of STL Partners’ focus on supporting business model innovation in the Telecoms industry. Telco 2.0 has quickly become established as a leading force for new business models through its executive brainstorms, research and consulting activities. Chris has worked on a large number of consulting engagements on new business models and value propositions for operators and vendors and was the lead author on the recent report, The Two-Sided Telecoms Market Opportunity, which focuses in detail on new Telco revenue opportunities and sizes the potential market for a Telco value-added services platform at $125 billion. He regularly contributes to the company’s popular Telco 2.0 blog www.telco2.net/blog
Martin Ljungberg, Product Manager, Mobile Broadband, Ericsson
Martin Ljungberg has the end to end product management responsibility for mobile broadband, at business unit networks within Ericsson AB. He has been engaged in Ericsson's mobile data and broadband activities since 1999 and has held a number of managerial positions with focus on WCDMA and LTE ranging from technical sales to product management and customer programs. Martin Ljungberg holds a degree in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University (Sweden) and Case Western Reserve (Ohio, US).

Dina Bartels, Marketing Manager Industry Marketing, Nokia Siemens Networks
Dina Bartels has been working for Siemens and later Nokia Siemens Networks for more than 20 years and has rich experience in telecommunications in various management positions in R&D, Systems Engineering, Project Management, Business Development and Product Line Management. Currently she is responsible for Industry themes in Strategic Marketing. Dina obtained her Diploma in Mathematics from Bonn University and Dr. rer nat from Wuppertal University.

BERLIN GSA MOBILE BROADBAND FORUM - May 18th, 2009
The GSA Mobile Broadband Forum in Berlin on May 18th brought together an invited group of mobile operators, 3GPP, GSMA, LSTI and suppliers to informally share over dinner their experiences and insights about the mobile broadband market and the evolution to HSPA+ and LTE. The event was the second which has been organized and hosted by GSA and was sponsored by GSA Executive Member companies Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Qualcomm.
AMSTERDAM GSA MOBILE BROADBAND FORUM - September 16th, 2008
The latest GSA Mobile Broadband Forum was held in Amsterdam on September 16th, 2008. The half-day program included mobile network operator presentations from Mobilkom Austria, TeliaSonera and 3, who shared their respective experiences, insights and learnings about the mobile broadband with delegates from many other network operators, and vendors from the GSA membership. Tony Fish (AMF Ventures) discussed the Uniqueness of Mobile, focusing on the value that mobile brings to the web and TV market that cannot be replicated by another platform. GSA speakers including representatives from Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Qualcomm demonstrated the global success of HSPA/mobile broadband today, and outlined the blueprint for success in the mass market and future evolution.

The event was hosted by GSA and sponsored by GSA Executive Members Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Qualcomm.
HONG KONG - December 3rd, 2007
The first event was held in Hong Kong on December 3rd, 2007 alongside the Mobility World Congress, and included operator participation and experiences from Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden and UK. Presentations were also given by a senior representative of 3GPP/ETSI, and GSA member organisations Comsys, Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks, Qualcomm, Talking Eye, and Telcordia. The GSA Mobile Broadband Forum achieved its aims of dialogue, enhanced information exchange and knowledge sharing.
